Most Helpful Reviews

timely practice

Tony Shah, Head of Mathematics: Because I have seen first hand the confidence, enjoyment and progress of pupils
Tony Shah, Mathematics Teacher 2iC: It is too early to tell at this stage
Kirsty Behan, Acting Team Leader: Timely Practice has revolutionized the way I teach low attaining students. It has not only improved results but students have reported enjoying completely their timely practice each lesson, knowing how much it has helped them learn and, often for the first time, given them some confidence in their mathematical knowledge.

Educake

Kevin, Head of Science: Extremely user-friendly for both staff and students, a powerful tool for monitoring student engagement and progress, fantastic customer support and a clear ethos of trying to improve their offer constantly meaning I feel I get value for money
Emma Robertson, Science Coordinator: Educake is a fantastic platform for students to apply their knowledge and understanding. By doing quizzes, they can increase their confidence in key ideas and gain feedback instantly. Students being able to view study guides and set themselves quizzes adds to the benefits. The variety of questions and easy to use platform significantly reduce teacher workload for homework. Being able to view data for your class allows you to adapt your lessons to include key ideas students struggle with. You can also easily view your mark sheet meaning you do not need to keep a separate spreadsheet of who has completed homework and who hasn't. The new app and teacher platform updates mean that more students can access the quizzes and that staff can keep their screens tidy, allowing easy access to previously set quizzes.
Will, Head of Science: It is costly - our own school struggles for this budget and I am not sure I'll be able to renew next year even though I'd love to. There are a few additional features I would recommend that I think would be (fairly) easy enough to build into the website that would give additional avenues.

Teachers interact with the app creating and assessing personalised PDF assignments. Learners complete the PDF assignments in lessons or for homework. Learners write, and draw diagrams on the PDF assignments because this more effectively embeds learning than typing.
