Teachers prioritise their lessons and so don't have a lot of time to master new software.Sarah Girvan, Assistant Head/Careers Lead: We launched Upskill Me with our Year 10 students as part of our National Careers Week programme. Lucy and Becky from Upskill Me were fantastic in supporting the school with pre-launch resources and information for students and parents. They created a student launch assembly, with demonstrations of how to use the software. Students really enjoyed the launch event and were very keen to engage in the activities linked to logging their skills on their online profile and developing their skills using the excellent resources available. Students have found the points system very motivating and student feedback has been very positive. As the Careers Leader, it has been really useful to be able to easily monitor student engagement with the programme. These reports can be accessed by other staff members and it has been beneficial to analyse student engagement with colleagues to support a collaborative approach across the school. This careers platform is an excellent tool to use as part of a school careers programme and for meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks. Moving to Xello is easier than you think! We've developed an onboarding programme to ensure you (and your stakeholders) feel excited and confident to bring Xello into your classrooms.
You'll benefit from tailored training sessions that teach you the basics of reporting and monitoring student engagement as well as more specific topics like leveraging Xello to inform one-to-one guidance and evidencing progress towards achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks.
We will provide onboarding guides and videos to support both students and staff getting set up on Upskill Me. We can also provide a staff training session as part of the school partnership at the schools request.
Once we receive data from you or your IT Manager, we can have you up and running within 2 working days. Your choice between flat file data integration or data integration via your school or college's MIS will have an impact on the onboarding schedule. Everything will be explained in your first kick-off meeting in which we advise you to include all key stakeholders, including your IT Manager, for maximum success.
