How Customer Feedback and Digital Assets Helped CodeMonkey Build Their Own Review Page

Background: CodeMonkey

CodeMonkey is a leading online platform that teaches kids computer science through engaging, game-based coding challenges.

In this case study, Vitaly Tev, CodeMonkey’s Head of Growth Marketing, shares how EdTech Impact’s reviews and marketing assets facilitated the creation of a dedicated review page that builds trust with prospective customers and delivers tangible SEO benefits.

Building the Model Review Page

Two key drivers led CodeMonkey to build a central review page on their website.

First, they wanted to create a transparent and trustworthy space where prospective customers could explore authentic, independent reviews. And with over 80 verified reviews collected on the EdTech Impact platform to date, they had the credible content needed to bring this vision to life.

Second, as their reputation grew, they noticed that the keyword “CodeMonkey reviews” became increasingly searched, and that third-party sites were vying to capture its traffic.

By owning this search intent through a dedicated review page – and embedding EdTech Impact’s verified review data, including star ratings, into rich snippets – they aimed to improve search visibility and attract more qualified visitors.

A Carousel of Trust

Central to CodeMonkey’s review page is an interactive carousel featuring a curated selection of reviews from parents and educators collected through EdTech Impact. This feature enables visitors to easily browse detailed, authentic feedback that highlights the real-world impact and quality of CodeMonkey’s platform.

Complementing the carousel is a clearly visible “Write a Review” call-to-action. Vitaly explains that this CTA isn’t primarily intended to drive new reviews – since most visitors are still exploring the platform – but serves as a transparency signal. It shows prospective customers that feedback is welcomed openly and not filtered or controlled, building confidence in the authenticity of the reviews.

“The review page is more for customers who are searching the subject and aren’t yet familiar with codemonkey”, Vitali explains. “So while it isn’t necessarily the best time to show them the button, we want to have the option there as it’s important to make it clear that everyone can review us, and we aren’t controlling what is shared.”

Additionally, CodeMonkey uses the reviews page to prominently display EdTech Impact badges alongside other third-party awards they’ve earned. These visible, independent endorsements add further layers of credibility and strengthen their reputation with prospective customers.

Thoughtful Customisation

Crafting an effective webpage relies on two essential elements: delivering compelling, relevant content, and presenting that content in a clear, engaging, and visually cohesive way.

CodeMonkey had the content—thanks to the reviews collected and badges earned. But for their review page to communicate this content clearly and cohesively, they needed to nail how it was delivered. That meant more than just embedding EdTech Impact’s review assets, which naturally carry EdTech Impact’s own branding.

To make the page truly their own, CodeMonkey took advantage of the flexibility of these assets to thoughtfully customise colours, layouts, and styles – ensuring everything fit seamlessly within their website’s design.

This careful tailoring resulted in a polished, visually consistent page that feels fully integrated with their site, and one that EdTech Impact frequently refers to as a standout example of how to visually leverage the platform’s assets to fit your brand and effectively showcase your feedback.
