What is Britannica LaunchPacks ?
Britannica encourages teachers to be innovative with their scheme of learning and assessment strategies through the ‘packs’, with ready-made, easy-to-use and versatile resources that are at hand for educators to engage pupils with both literacy and numeracy skills. LaunchPacks also gives teachers the unique opportunity to customise and be creative with the packs by adding their own worksheets, external links and Kahoot quizzes, providing a valuable dimension of game-based learning and assessment to LaunchPacks.
Remote learning is made possible through LaunchPacks' virtual classroom area where teacher can share activities and track pupil progress, making feedback easily accessible. At all levels, activities and question sets will immerse students in critical thinking and help them to deepen mastery through cross-thematic connections. Students will make predictions, collect evidence from a wide variety of sources, analyse research and data, and draw conclusions.
Differentiation tools support the diverse array of student needs within a single classroom, whether through articles available at multiple reading levels, four unique levels of content bundles, or reading support tools such as read-aloud functionality, double click dictionaries, and article translations available in over 80 languages.
Students who use LaunchPacks have access to resources from the leader in authoritative information, Encyclopaedia Britannica. Trust that the content you provide is created by subject experts, vetted by fact-checkers, and curated by local teachers who understand your unique curriculum and content needs.
We recommend Britannica LaunchPacks being used as the foundation for creating schemes of learning for History, Geography, Humanities and Science to optimise time saved on lesson-planning for teachers. Regualar use of the 'Classes' function will also enhance students' confidence in using the platform and being familiar with virtual assessment and feedback.
