A federal government corporation with financial and administrative independence. It was established by Federal Law No. 17 of 1981 under the official name "Emirates General Transport and Services Corporation" with the purpose of regulating, managing, and supervising the operation of transport and auto maintenance services for various government, federal, and local entities as well as private sector organizations.
