What is Freckle by Renaissance?
Freckle gives teachers all the necessary tools to provide differentiated maths practice and reach every pupil at their own level.
Freckle continuously adapts for pupil practice in maths while offering teachers the ability to focus practice on specific maths objectives aligned to the English National Curriculum. Pupils can track their own progress and see how many steps they have made along their personalised maths pathways. Correct answers are recorded for that day which motivates them to improve and build on that success the next time they practise.
The administrator dashboard presents class- and school-level insights on usage and pupil growth to support trust-level initiatives and targets. It allows gaining real-time insight into pupil performance and progress with actionable practice date that recommends the next best skills to practice.

 Training | Live OnlineDocumentation All new schools are required to book in training with a product expert, this allows for a smooth implementation and for teachers/educators to get the most out of their Renaissance products. New customer training comes with an onsite visit from one of our specialists which schools find engaging and motivational and allows teachers to see how their own pupils are performing and progressing. Taking this training allows teachers to get to know our programs but also start imbedding them within the school and follow our proven best practice routines. After every training session we always send resources to the school which allows them to do in house training for twilight or INSET days. Schools also have the option of taking top up training every year, this is especially useful to see how their first year as gone, look at annual reports or any changes, updates to Renaissance Place and to continue imbedding our best practice. We can even work with new starters and do a complete overview of our programmes. |

The only downside is that it is inaccessible for our youngest learners; our Primary 1 and 2 children. It is inaccessible because of the sign on process - having to type first and surname (there is another online platform that we use that uses symbols to log in which is Foundation Stage friendly.) However, the greatest inaccessibility is that it doesn't align with Northern Ireland Foundation Stage curriculum; it is much too difficult.
