Your SmartScore climbs like a mountain of ice, One slip—and you tumble down… not once, but twice. Ninety-nine glory within student sight, One decimal wrong—goodbye to the height. You whisper “adaptive,” but students all know That means “harder questions the moment you grow.” You lure us in with a cheerful green check, Then shove us backwards for one tiny speck. Oh ruler of retries, emperor of grind, You test not math but strength of mind. Fractions repeat like an echoing cave, Each one more confusing, each one less brave. “Find the slope,” you chant again and again, Numbers reshuffled, same headache, same pain. X disappears, Y runs wild, Algebra turns savage, logic turns mild. IXL helped students I tutor perform well on their GCSE, gaining 8s after being predicted 5/6. I've started using it with other students now, both for practice and for the diagnostic when I first start with them.
