What is Maximum Classics?
Maximum Classics is four-year, inclusive Latin language for English literacy course that can be taught to all pupils by non-specialist teachers.
The course includes everything that a school needs for their non-specialist class teachers to start delivering Latin to their classes. The fully-resourced four-year scheme includes IWB materials, student worksheets, teaching notes, knowledge organisers and a plethora of ancillary materials.
As well as meeting all the requirements of KS2 MFL provision, the etymological apporach of the course is designed to support English vocabulary and spelling. The grammar covered supports KS2 English SPaG directly.
Teacher training videos guide users through each unit. Bespoke training (in person and online) is also available, with grants available for UK state schools. Subscribers to the course can aslo access online support for an aspect of the course.
