What is TypeSprint?
A browser-based typing platform that combines timed typing tests with real-time multiplayer races. Players can take a 30-second sprint or a longer 1, 3, 5 or 10-minute test, with scores going onto global and daily leaderboards. Races pit up to eight players against each other, and custom tests can be shared with others using a six-character join code.
Alongside the tests, there is a touch-typing course of 60 guided lessons that build up from the home row, with stars and coins earned along the way. Separate lesson tracks cover QWERTY, QWERTZ (including ö, ä and ü) and Spanish (including ñ and accents) keyboards, and the interface itself runs in English, German and Spanish.
Teachers can set up a class in a few minutes; students join with a six-character code, and lesson results appear on a live dashboard. Typing tests and races work without an account, but a free account is needed to save progress and to access the course and classes.
