What is Student Radar?
Student Radar is a connected pupil-support platform for schools and trusts. It brings attendance, behaviour, SEND, safeguarding, health, assessment, pastoral information and family communication into one role-aware picture of each pupil. It also gives leaders a school-wide view of patterns, responsibilities, deadlines and outcomes. Staff can identify a concern, understand the wider context, assign the next action to a named person and review whether support made a difference. Student Radar sits alongside the school’s MIS and supports professional judgement; it does not replace either.
The platform was founded by Stuart Armley-Jones, a former Assistant Head and SENCo with 13 years’ experience in schools, who left the classroom in December 2025 to work on Student Radar full-time. It is used by schools and trusts across the world. Student Radar was also named a 2026 finalist for nasen Inclusive Technology of the Year and BESA Start-Up of the Year.
With Student Radar, schools can connect SEND registers, plans, provision, interventions and reviews with safeguarding records, medical needs, assessment, behaviour, parent communication and leadership evidence. Role-based permissions ensure staff see only the information their responsibilities require. This replaces disconnected spreadsheets and repeated data gathering with clear, owned workflows; one pilot SENCo reports saving hours each week. Student Radar also publishes a free, plain-English SEND resource library covering conditions, classroom strategies, reasonable adjustments, Ordinarily Available Provision and the SEND Code of Practice.
The annual price is £4.25 per pupil, with a £250 minimum, excluding VAT and with automatic volume discounts. Standard product areas, unlimited users, Wonde MIS integration, onboarding, training and UK-based support are included, with no setup fee. Schools can request access to a realistic sample-school demo without providing payment details or book a focused walkthrough. Student Radar is Cyber Essentials certified, uses a UK-hosted primary pupil database, encrypts data in transit and at rest, requires multi-factor authentication and applies role-based and database-level access controls.
