AIR has fit seamlessly into our writing assessment schedule. It provides another robust layer of judgements that we are able to use to support our staff. The feedback AIR provides is really relevant and factual and models good assessment of writing to all staff; this has been a great support to less experienced teachers who now have greater confidence when completing non-AIR writing assessments throughout the year. The children love the personalised feedback that AIR provides and it is written in a voice appropriate to their age. We really love AIR and the role that it plays in our assessment cycle, we have been so impressed by what it offers and how it complements and works alongside the more traditional approaches to writing assessment that we still use. We love the ease of use as well as the availability of a whole class overview of strengths and weaknesses, this has been really helpful with forward planning.
