I introduced blackout in my former school (I have just moved school) and it was an excellent solution to the phone problem and, crucially, avoided the issue of physical confiscations and searches for phones! It works, including with vpn's and simply blocks app and internet access during the school day. It is a great example of how tech can provide solutions rather than just being the problem and the team behind it are really excellent! When dealing with tech it is always essential You have great humans behind it!
