Innsbruck Airport

Generally Innsbruck airport is okay, but be aware, that during some time slots crowds for security and passport control might be huge and that after security there is not much to do. There is one slightly overpriced Duty Free shop, which closes between 17:30 and 18:00 and cafe, where prices are slightly higher than in the city but food is okay. Before check-in in the departure hall there is a restaurant with the terrace, where you’ll have a great view at the Alps, departing and arriving aircraft. Prices at that restaurant are slightly lower than after security and the selection of meals and beverages is better. Be aware, if you leave Shengen, after passport control there are no shops or cafes.

Not a bad little airport. Waiting times weren't too bad just a shame that there's not outside area once you've gone through security.

Innsbruck Airport is a tiny airport. 1 restaurant and a tiny shop when you go through security.

Security is quick and efficient normally and bag drops normally aren't too much of a hassle.

Overall the only benefit to this airport is that it allows quick train/ car access into the Austrian Alps.

It's got a very steep and unique descent and ascent when flying in and out of Innsbruck. Can be quite turbulent as you are flying between the  mountains. If you're not a fan of flying this might not be for you, but on the up side you get jaw dropping views so try and get a window seat.

Overall an airport is an airport but if you're looking for creature comforts. This doesn't offer them.

A delight compared to the Manchester experience with external chaos and endless internal queues. However, it would be nice to have a fast lane at passport control for remain voters. 😉

I wish all airports were like this! Immediate check in , two minutes for security and fast passport check. Very clean toilets. The duty free staff however didn't seem to know how to smile or be pleasant - what a shame.
Very useful and reasonably priced bakery before security with a good selection of sandwiches, bread and baked goods.
This is a very small airport with only 5 flights that day so it should have been as good as it was.
