• Provides school data“Mostly we use the data to see levels of engagement with homework and revision. When we have issue with students under performing we can look at their engagement with educake to see if they have been revising for tests. Secondly we can see correlation with students who are vastly improving in test scores and their engagement with educake”
• Reduces teacher workload“It meets our homework requirements as a school. This means I, as head of department, can easily organise homework for all students in the school, reducing the burden on my staff.”
• Builds student knowledge“I find at times the questions or answers are not always in line with the national curriculum and therefore introduce semi-misconceptions to their learning, however on the whole there seems to be an improvement in students long-term retrieval given the inter-leaved recap using educake”
• Improves teaching efficiency“We mostly use a recap rather than to help with future teaching”
• Improves attainment“This is one of our largest impacts, overall there is an increase in results caused by the fact students that previously did not revise at all because "they did not know how" now have an excellent starting point”
