I loved my two years studying business here. It was the best time of my life. Great teachers who really helped, lovely friends and a wonderful environment. I would certainly recommend the lv3 business course to anyone who’s interested!

Signed up for mental health counselling to learn further in these areas. The lecturer did not answer my question and said I was thinking too hard... there were many occasions copy and paste my course work brought more satisfaction than my actual thoughts on the questions.
Was not what i expected and ... achieved nothing but a piece of paper i completed.

A good place of education seems the students settled and are happy here

I am biased because I work at WSC, but this place provides great opportunities to 16-19 year olds in vocational subjects, along with apprenticeships and adult education. We don't just provide qualifications, we provide opportunities for the future.

I went to West Suffolk College from middle of 2014 till 2016 and have to say it was a lackluster one. The courses i did during this time were originally 2 year courses but were condensed to 1 year (8months as lectures went on holiday and left any students who had not finished hung to dry) giving the course a rushed feel and very little time to become skilled at the work. The students are very disruptive and only on courses not because they want to do them, but are simply on them as they need to remain in education until they turn 18 years old, which is very frustrating as it made life harder for those who wanted to learn. Absolutely no help with looking for apprenticeships even though it was certain staff members jobs to seek job opportunities after course.

On the positives majority of staff are friendly and good at teaching dispite horrible course structure. Courses are better on part time basis and you already are working in the field you’re studying if not dont waste your time. Facilities are very good and plenty of useful resources to help study.

In conclusion the staff and actual courses are good but is massively let down by rushing courses and just churning students through like cattle without acually teaching them how to become great in what they want to do just feels like they only care about ticking boxes than helping to properly educate young people and prepare them for the adult world.
