Sarah Girvan, Assistant Head/Careers Lead: We launched Upskill Me with our Year 10 students as part of our National Careers Week programme. Lucy and Becky from Upskill Me were fantastic in supporting the school with pre-launch resources and information for students and parents. They created a student launch assembly, with demonstrations of how to use the software. Students really enjoyed the launch event and were very keen to engage in the activities linked to logging their skills on their online profile and developing their skills using the excellent resources available. Students have found the points system very motivating and student feedback has been very positive. As the Careers Leader, it has been really useful to be able to easily monitor student engagement with the programme. These reports can be accessed by other staff members and it has been beneficial to analyse student engagement with colleagues to support a collaborative approach across the school. This careers platform is an excellent tool to use as part of a school careers programme and for meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks. I highly recommend Upskill Me to other education providers and we are looking forward to launching this scheme with other year groups at our school!
