What is CURA?
Child and adult safeguarding issues are emotional and often difficult for the most experienced of DSLs, particulary at case review level. So much evidence including chronological reports, body mapping, meeting information is needed and you want to make sure you have everything to hand. You can rely on CURA to provide everything you need in simple reports including graphical analysis giving you peace of mind that you have a full profile to submit.
CURA isn't only for high level cases; importantly it is for the niggles, situations that arise that just don't seem right and can't be ignored. By staff logging information, CURA will create profiles alerting specific staff to allow for early intervention which is key.
Many features in CURA support the needs of logging and tracking safeguarding concerns and niggles effectively and include an interactive 'child safeguarding and promoting welfare' triangle, 3D body mapping, genealogy, chronological reports, timelines, referal and meeting management, key indicator reporting and analysis.
Crucially, TASC Software are experienced working with education establishments for 25 years and have a good understanding of needs in Safeguarding. CURA was developed off the back of our Local Authority Solution; SENTINEL which we developed over 20 years ago. With many of our schools needing a safeguarding solution for their establishment, we used SENTINEL as our base product to fit with schools requirements with extra features. As part of our research and development during the SENTINEL to CURA transaction for schools, we worked closely with Steve Martin who is highly experienced in child safeguarding and has been for many years, also a noted person in this field. https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-martin-b1164932 Steve was able to clarify good practice and also recognised issues staff had such as the need for timely and accurate reports, simple chronological information, communicating securely.
We continue to ensure CURA meets external body compliances including OFSTED and research safeguarding standards. CURA has every data logging and tracking feature you need to support those who are vulnerable and also give peace of mind to your staff who have the difficult job of dealing with the safeguarding issue.
CURA is an individual establisment solution and also and umberalla solution for multi establishments allowing Trust DSLs for example to manage and monitor multi facilities quickly and efficiently. Data is hosted on a Amazon Web Server, can be standalone or link with your MIS using Wonde integration.
Recommended Usage
As a safeguarding solution, it really depends on the level of safeguarding cases in school. Some school staff are logged in throughout the day, others once a week. As CURA is linked to email/auto alerts, DSL or permission level staff will receive alerts if anything logged by a teacher in CURA so no need for staff to be logged in to see data.

| Home Learning | School must create the account. Access is available to anyone who the school feel they need data such as social services, CAFF, carer. A parent can request information for their child and a log in could be made available if really necessary how this is not a product designed for a parent and neither would we recommend. This is a decision to be made by the school. Any non safeguarding information can be accessed by a parent using our TALAXY solution. |

Our trust has been using Cura for over 6 years now. It is extremley easy to navigate. All staff feedback is how effective it is and simple to use. Communication with Cura and utilising the helpdesk is outstanding! Our Trust highly recommend and do promote Cura with other schools.
