If you are looking for routine and stability for your child, this is not the school for you as it is a revolving door of teachers, students, admin, lawyers, and maintenance staff. People are constantly coming and going at all times of the year so there is never a firm routine for children.  Students might be assigned a room at the start of the year but are frequently moved around due to testing and other events.  Constant schedule changes interrupt routines but students need a routine to feel safe and secure.  This school was built with small class sizes in mind but in the past few years, more and more students are crammed into classrooms that have not expanded in size so everything is cramped.  This also means teachers have very little time to spend with each student individually.

Resources are either outdated and/or limited.  For example, not much of a library exists and the few books that remain are either outdated or irrelevant to most if not all students.  Also, there is a chance a student might be given a photocopy of a textbook rather than the original for some of their classes.

Upper management is either uncaring and/or impossible to reach for most teachers, though one higher-up, in particular, does give their personal number out to a few select teachers they deem as their favorite, so there is no equitable treatment of staff.  If they don't care about you, you might as well be invisible.  It does not create a healthy work environment and many teacher voices are not heard or respected.  Even with students, several have left due to unaddressed bullying.

Management is under-qualified and ineffective in creating an atmosphere where students feel encouraged to follow typical codes of decorum.  For example, there was a huge issue with students yelling racial swears and drawing derogatory and/or hateful symbols and punching/damaging the walls and this was an ongoing issue all year.  Teachers did the best within the confines of their authority regarding this issue but no serious consequences were ever given for even the most egregious violations.

In the end, I believe most teachers are doing the best they can considering the situation.  The students have potential but aren't placed in an environment conducive to learning.  Despite being a small school, communication is disjointed, and hiring a liaison who can bridge the huge gap between upper management and ALL employees would be a step in the right direction. Rest assured, there are better options for your private school needs in Belgrade.

We moved to Serbia few years ago not sure what to expect.
We started our kids at the different school, that looked better, is bigger, more advertised...we met few parents whos kids did school hopping, but sattled at Brook Hill where we finaly moved our kids year ago...
We can say, after a full year, and beginning a second one, that Brook Hill has greatly exceeded our expectations in every way. The teachers and administrators are all great at what they do, always willing to talk to a parent about anything our kids might need, and constantly making an effort to do even better for the kids. The teachers put in so much effort for that, and I think all the kids learned a lot.
All the teachers we've worked with there have been really good at bringing out my kids' strengths and addressing their weaknesses, and our kids like them all. That matters, too. The kids at this school are really nice, too, local and international. Our kids made friends very easily here. . They really bring out the community. I can't recommend this school highly enough. It's been nothing but good for us.
We can really appreciate the small welcoming experience that Brook Hill provides.
For sure not the largest international school in  Belgrade but you get the best for the just right price.

The swimming classes and all coaches are really professional and work with kids making the swimming classes interesting and effective. After 3-4 classes our son started swimming by his own.
Very clean and warm. The size is good for the kids trainings. Not crowded groups.

Been here in year 1-3. The teachers abused their power and the kids in the school, hope they’re fired now. Me and my sister will forever be traumatised. 😘🫶
