The platform is suitable for students of all ages and abilities, providing a personalized learning experience that adapts to each student's needs. With Spelling Shed, spelling practice becomes an enjoyable part of the educational journey.

One of the key aspects of Spelling Shed is its wide range of interactive games that cater to different learning styles. These games are designed to reinforce spelling rules and patterns, helping students to retain and apply their knowledge. Spelling Shed is very popular in my class. I have made a big thing about it, so the children enjoy the competition through school, For the majority of the year we have been top of the leader board. Children enjoy it and like the spelling tests online as they can see straight away if they are right.

Ian Addison found Spelling Shed:
  • Moderately improves attainment
Children are more eager to learn their spellings. The online games and tests encourage them to keep trying and they have been really engaged.
  • Significantly reduces teacher workload
Having a whole spelling scheme has helped us massively. Our previous spelling scheme had ideas but didn't provide resources but Shed does. This has helped me organise weeks worth of spellings in minutes.
  • Slightly saves school money
  • Moderately provides school data
It has helped to improve the summative assessment of spelling in my class. I have a good handle on how well my children can spell (in tests) and we use this alongside the spellings in their books and in their writing.
