In reference to the comment made above that begins with “As a former teacher at ISKR”. As a student who has been at ISK for 13 years (Pre-K - 12), I find this comment to be unfair to the hardworking teachers, staff, and students who work everyday to make ISK an inclusive space. I am a student of color and I am very aware of issues that ISK has had in the past, but I believe these issues to be periodic issues of administration that don’t represent the whole of ISK. For most of my education I have had amazing teachers who have helped me and pushed me to be a better student. This experience in the above comment does not align with my overall ISK experience.

Student here. Welcoming community, despite its small size. The classes are rough, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not a lot of class or club options though, and the school in general seems to be more focused around the younger kids than the high school ones. The younger kids get way more club options than we do. Seriously though, how come the big kids don't get a robotics club, and why can't the high school's Journalism club play a bigger role in the elementary school's ISKN news? I've also lost count of the amount of times I was forced to babysit some of the younger kids as well. There's also the forced inclusivity at school events as well, where elementary, middle, and high school kids alike are forced to take part in school performances they clearly don't want any part of.

UPDATE: This school has gotten much better at the babysitting part of my last complaint. There's still not many class or club options, but that will apparently change coming into next year. The school still seems more centered around the younger kids, and there's still some forced participation, especially in Rwandan culture events. However, there is still definitely a clear improvement from last year, which is why I've decided to increase the number of stars from two to three.

ISK is uniquely Rwandan and international at the same time. Exceptional teachers and staff! As a mission-driven non-profit school, ISK remains our school of choice. We are so grateful for the social, emotional, and academic education our daughter has had the opportunity to receive and participate in at ISK since 2010. Our daughter is set to graduate in the near future, and we find that she is well prepared for a successful and rewarding continuation of her education. We look forward to seeing how ISK continues to grow in the years to come and for many more students and families!

ISK has moved to a beautiful new new campus this year. The administration and staff are motivated, welcoming, and have the children's best interest in mind. The co-directors listen to parents and are doing everything then can to make ISK a truly inclusive, prestigious, and diverse school. My children made friends instantly and come home happy every day. We wish we could extend our overseas tour to stay at ISK longer.

This school is amazing and the teachers and students have great energy. Their new campus is big and open and is good. This is truly a one in a kind school.
