CIE British School - Cebu

My family and I went to Cebu Ocean Park and happen to bump into CIE college students. I have to say they definitely did not act their age. They were rude, rowdy and obnoxious. I had to scold quite a few of them banging on the glass of the aquarium. It was very disappointing to see them act like 7 year olds..  I was expecting so much more from them since my children used to go to that school a decade ago.. Truly disappointed.

In Feb. 2016 we sent an email to the school asking about a good time to visit the campus in Cebu. No response. So we just dropped by. The young woman who spoke to us was more a receptionist than the admissions counselor she claimed to be. She answered most of our questions (though she couldn't find the tenth-grade curriculum) but she did very little to try to "sell" CIE as a fine school. I actually asked whether there was anyone else we could talk to (but even though the office was filled with people shuffling papers, the answer was no). We had to ask to get what turned out to be a five-minute walk around the campus. After the visit I emailed again to point out how the visit gave us a poor impression of the school. No response. I'm sure (or at least I hope) others will have better initial experiences with CIE, but our experience excluded CIE from consideration for our daughter's education.

This school has decent education, but it's traditional ways are soon becoming outdated and is becoming a burden on the students.
They must either do a massive reform on their way of education or at least be more sensible on what they dump on the students to not pressure them into quite literally giving up/having a break down

This school doesnt know how to properly schedule itself and constantly adding and removing events for no reason and becomes a burden on the students who have to join these extracurricular activities if they want to get a decent grade sometimes having to sacrifice the grades of other subjects which cause a drop in the quality of education and they shut down classes for a single event causing students to have a lack of discussion and reviews with their teachers and the school is always charging the students for events that they dont want to participate in even though the school already has a massive tuition fee, also most of the schools budget is wasted on the owners personal travels and not on essential things the school needs like a proper p.e room which by the way is just an old kindergarden room which isnt properly ventilated or a proper stage for the students which much cheaper schools are able to afford but the school couldnt do that or else the owner would have to delay her flight to dubai by 3 days and she isnt even around only for events and obviously doesnt care because she is never around seriously the students act like she doesnt exist and it seems like this school is just a way to make money and since the students arent allowed to criticize her it ends up giving her undeserving massive ego a confidence boost also the school is constantly cancelling or shortening vacations and forcing a stupid amount of homework during those times and their excuse is that it keeps the student from being lazy which is a huge hypocitical statement coming from the lazy uncaring owner and some of the teachers there are amazing but the school doesnt even support them while they have to buy materials from their own insulting paycheck and I cant believe the school doesnt care about all the teachers and students getting out of that horeible excuse of a school.
