• Builds student knowledge“A student was able to volunteer to answer a question about verbs in an English lesson due to his work on Grammar on Lexia.”
• Provides school data“I am able to provide SLT, governers and OFSTED with progress reports at the click of a button. We recently had an OFSTED inspection with a focus on literacy and how we are closing the gap. I was able to attend a meeting with an inspector armed with evidence of real progress. The inspector was impressed and especially liked the bar chart available in the skills status report on Lexia.”
• Reduces attainment gap“We have recently been doing reading tests with our KS3 students. Some of our Lexia students have added 2-3 years to their reading ages since September.”
• Improves attainment“Sometimes, but this is usually more noticeable for year 9 students who have been doing Lexia since year 7. Impact on attainment is a longer term goal and does not happen in only 1 or 2 terms.”
