• Reduces teacher workload“Mega Seating Plans is very helpful when it comes to create placement in the class room. It is easy for the students to understand the seating plan, I can modify it to make sure that the seating gives the a positive learning environment while still taking student preferences into account. Making temporary groups for discussions, or picking a student to answer a question is also easy and transparent for the students.”
• Improves teaching efficiency“It handles a lot of the day-to-day minutiae and free up time for me as a teacher. It also moves some of the perceived bias when creating a group, seating plan, selecting a student or similar. It is a randomised group/plan/student, not something the teacher created. So it removes some of the discussions and allows me to focus on teaching the class.”
• Improves behaviour or wellbeing“Since it is so easy to create new seating plans, I can create them often and make sure that everyone is class gets to sit next to the other students in the class. Mixing the class like this breaks up subgroups and lets the student know each other better, making the class room a calmer and more inclusive space.”
