Hi. I'm a student here and have been for the last 6 years. Uptown WAS an amazing school that valued its students and teachers, with respect to their opinions, ideas, problems and their advice.

I am saddened to write that it is now an unfair school. There is no positive teacher, parent and student communication. Teachers fail to listen to students and give students fair chances at being progressive learners. The education at this school is now objective and not subjective.

I will elaborate my statements. Teachers are often busy, stressed, emotionally unbalanced and unavailable to assist students. This may be due to administrative and senior pressure or issues with their salaries. Regardless of the cause, the outcome of this is the mistreatment and unfair dealing of students and their issues. The teacher student system has reached a dead end where neither listen to either party. Teachers often fail to respect students which results in students not respecting teachers. There is no trust between students and authority.

Uptown has become very good at marketing and very poor in their education system. Students speak up and are treated unfairly. There is no equality in respect. I have 2 younger siblings, one is in the 2nd grade and one is in the 8th grade - and they agree with me on my statements. The hefty fees we pay every year, for them to reciprocate such attitude, behavior and conduct is simply wrong. We have the right to education especially having given such money. We, as a student body rarely receive our rights to fair, holistic, and individualized education.

I'd like to reiterate Uptown hadn't always been like this, but here and now as of 2022 - this school is a waste of your time, money, and trust.

For your sake, and the sake of your child, kindly look for another option as you will not find Uptown to provide you with any of which you'd want in a place your child spends 8 hours in.

Bad teachers, horrible experience as a parent. No collaboration or good communication. Am highly disappointed. Pls don't put ur kids in such a school where teachers laugh at their mistakes, my child in grade 8 has complained numerous times, is feeling unsupported and disrespected! This is ridiculous. Just my honest opinion - no personal grudge.

We are very unsatisfied with this school with their very poor teaching quality. Our child did not learn almost anything like zero from math, arabic, french etc. The teachers i believe just telling the lesson and go. They are not aware of the child. Is he learning, how is the level of the class is not much of their interest because when you ask they say your child is good everything is ok. Everything is also complicated that they do not give you a clear guideline.
