I see immense value in these lessons. They help repeat the topics I previously taught them. The story part is fantastic! It overlaps with the general topics the students study. What a great combination that makes learning fun! Lessons are safe and GDPR-friendly, though I still could track my students' progress from lesson to lesson. I also see the value in tangible rewards (the cards). I noticed a difference in students' perceptions of digital rewards they received in other apps vs. collectable EO Space cards. Seeing how much they enjoyed the real cards they could collect and play with was great. They were so enthusiastic about doing more tasks to get more cards. So inspiring!
T found Adventure Math Lessons:
- Significantly increases student collaboration“These lessons are based on storytelling, in which characters overcome challenges. We debated during the story, encouraging the students to collaborate and solve problems. It definitely gave my students a sense of belonging. We had very interactive discussions, and interaction among students was excellent!”
- Significantly improves teaching efficiency“I've noticed significant effects on the student's engagement, collaboration and critical thinking skills. These lessons are a perfect combination of developing maths skills and soft skills. It also helped me as a teacher to increase student participation. They waited for the next lesson to start.”
- Significantly improves attainment“With EO Space lessons, my students had a chance to repeat Addition and Subtraction. The lessons also include tangible rewards (educational cards), which they can purchase with the virtual coins they received during the maths game. They absolutely loved it and wanted to do more tasks to complete their card collection. I also loved distributing the maths tasks by six complexity levels. That was a great way to differentiate the tasks so the students could work at their own pace. At the end of the fifth lesson, my students were more confident in the topics they repeated with EO Space lessons, and their learning outcomes and grades improved.”

It was an interesting concept and the kids enjoyed it to begin with. The glitches with the WiFi made it tricky at points and the questions/storyline weren’t challenging enough for my class. I would recommend it for younger classes though.

The lesson (theory) wasn't the easiest for 6-7 years old children, I needed to adjusted quiet a lot sometimes to keep them interested. Also, the options for tis age were limited (Obviously the programme was designed for older children). However, our experience was really good. Thank you very much for all your work and pacience.
