What is Arc Maths?
Arc Maths is an app that helps pupils remember the crucial skills they need to succeed. Designed using evidence-based research into how memory works, Arc Maths uses retrieval practice to enable pupils to retain what they have previously been taught.
It is a 10-minute activity consisting of 12 questions chosen by the algorithm according to the needs of each pupil. Pupils practise any topics they get wrong and regular checks take place at increasing intervals to make sure this knowledge remains secure.

Questions are intelligently designed to check for understanding and address key misconceptions. The interface is great and my students loved being able to write their answers using the touch screen handwriting recognition technology.

User friendly interface, simple concept. Only limitation is that it doesn't show students how to do a question correctly (as far as I know) so requires teacher input if they don't understand a topic. Also not compatible on phones, so requires the whole class to have (and remember) their iPad

Very user friendly interface; quick and easy to use - 12 questions takes 10 minutes; the app remembers what the children have got wrong and generates new questions over time until they get it right; great use of handwriting software which even recognises my son's handwriting!
