What is Edulution?

Edulution is an innovative learning platform specifically designed for the developing world, with a focus on transforming education through effective partnerships. Since its founding in 2015, Edulution has supported over 60,000 learners across Southern Africa. Our model combines traditional teacher learning with technology in a unique learner-centred pedagogy that maximises engagement, restoring learners to Grade level performance and beyond. The platform offers a facilitated blended e-learning solution that operates offline and off-grid, making it accessible in rural areas and townships where traditional educational technology might not be viable.

The Edulution programme integrates into existing school systems, working with governments and non-profit organisations to impact:

- Primary School Learners (Grades 4-7) in disadvantaged communities to engage learners as early as possible and to build the foundation for a successful learning experience.

- Out-of-School Youth (Ages 18-29) who have dropped out of school but are looking for numeracy, literacy and work readiness skills to secure vocational training or restart their academic career.

Edulution is powered by technology, data, and incentivised youth coaches who facilitate the learning process, creating a unique educational ecosystem. Edulution has validated its efficacy by delivering successful mathematics programmes across three different countries, inviting numerous independent evaluations to confirm results. After 1 year on the Edulution Numeracy Programme, the median learner catches up 1.8 years of schooling. Edulution learners have consistently outperformed control groups by up to 34% since inception, and 98% of participating school principals would recommend Edulution due to the positive impact on learner outcomes.

To scale further, we are leveraging our experience as an ecosystem catalyst, seeking to maximise impact and reach by operating with, and through, others. By incorporating AI capabilities into our programme, Edulution now supports government to deliver blended numeracy classes driven by EdTech and adaptive learning, achieving 2X the learning outcomes. Our strategy towards sustainability is based on achieving scale through public sector adoption and ownership.

Training	In PersonDocumentation Edulution provides expert facilitators to every school to run the Edulution programme. These young (20-28 years) facilitators support learners in every session, and they provide training to teachers on how to access the monitoring and evaluation reports, which will inform where they focus attention to address learning gaps.
