What is Game Dev Club?
The Code Zone offers online & In-person coding clubs for kids wanting to level up their digital skills. Sessions are tailored to support individual interests and capabilities & our mentors are on hand to guide learning!
Our online code clubs are called the Game Dev Club which consists of learning to code through online 2 hour sessions with a mentor. Children progress from learning the basics of code in Scratch and transition to Python and Type Script. Code clubs are available for children ages 6 and up!
Each week kids will be given a new game of the week to play. They are given "guided hacks" to change the game and learn coding concepts through game developement. We believe play and having fun are the best ways to learn code, no matter your age or level!
As kids progress through their coding skills in each clubs, they can complete levels and earn STEM certified awards for their hard work. They can also earn badges to put on their profile and share with their friends made in our online code community.
We offer FREE taster sessions for children to try the clubs and see if they would like to join!
