Recommended Usage

EDClass

Determining a minimum usage for observing impact on students is challenging due to individual differences. However, based on our experience, we recommend an average of one hour of engagement per subject, per day as a general starting point. This level of interaction is often sufficient to see positive outcomes in knowledge acquisition, attainment, and behaviour. It's crucial to emphasize that individual needs vary significantly. Factors such as learning style, subject complexity, and student support requirements influence optimal usage. EDClass offers flexibility to accommodate diverse learners, allowing educators to tailor the platform to specific student needs.

SAM Learning

Independent studies commissioned by the Education Endowment Foundation and the Family Fisher Trust from 2002 to 2020 report that SAM Learning significantly improves students' GCSE grades with as little as 10+ hours of usage.

Most Helpful Reviews

EDClass

Farhan Patel, Learning Mentor: This is a great service to use as an educational platform and also as a safeguarding children at home tool
Kyle Dixon, Inclusion Lead: I would recommend EDClass for a number of reasons. The first being the that the customer service team are extremely helpful. No matter which member of the team answers the phone, everyone is always there to help no matter what the query. Genuinely really nice people who are very helpful. Requests are always followed up straight away with no delay which is especially helpful for a school as it is really fast paced and things need to be put in place quickly. The second being the accessibility for staff. The daily attendance alerts you receive via email and text mean that you don't have to make time to look at student attendance on the account. This is helpful for me as I have such a busy schedule and don't have time to look everyday.
John Vincent, Vice Principle: The resources are appropriate for every key stage and the level of work maps into our curriculum. The platform is easy to use for staff and students. The safeguarding elements are a key feature.

SAM Learning

Greg Newton, Leader: SAM learning has been an invaluable tool in our secondary school. We have whole school engagement of 92% of the school and 96% of Year 11 students have actively engaged with the tasks. Students have loved the tasks set and the challenges created. Teachers have enjoyed the time support but the automatic marking of work and the invaliuable QLA fucntion to help with both analysis and future planning. I have found the support from the SAM team immense and have enjoyed leading on driving the use of the software in the school this academic year. Greg Newton (Senior Leader at Tupton Hall School)
Alison Harrold, Online platform lead/ Psychology & PE Teacher: To sign into the platform it only requires them to use their school email for their ID and Password. This is brilliant!! It is easy to reset if they accidently sign themselves out of the platform. This can be done by all staff who have access to the platform. They can access the platform anytime and anywhere – on a school computer, laptop or phone. It has adaptative A.I. that guides students to improve their score if they have not achieved 80%. It encourages students to get a higher score than their friends and climb the leader board as part of our schools house cup competition. They can choose from a range of activities to complete across major GCSE & KS3 subjects.
gavin byford, deputy head: really like it both staff and students really like it
