Most Helpful Reviews

Encounter Edu

J Williams, National Education Coordinator: Its an exceptional resources to seed ideas. however since the Pan-Canadian expectations vary from the original source documents some triage of the content is required. This takes time. The one thing teachers claim not to have a surplus of. The score of 9 accounts for this 'slight' inconvenience.
Laura Rodwell, Eco council leader and Ta: I think this is an important part of children learning and the video and live lessons are amazing.
Shawna, Professional Development Specialist: I've already shared it with my colleagues

GCSEPod

Adam Speight, Acting Assistant Headteacher: Having used many different e-learning platforms to date in my career, GCSEPod is by far the leader in terms of interface design and the processes they adopt in order to ensure quality assurance of the materials they provide to users.
Richard Ward, Director of Science: Whilst GCSEPod has everything a teacher and a student needs, feedback from colleagues and students is that it is not the most user friendly interface compared to other platforms they use like Sparx. The quality of the resources is exceptional and the new KS3 format is perfect for students to easily navigate but the original content is still a little cluttered. The most common request I receive from Pod Leads is the desire to find all Check and Challenge questions in one place or the ability to assign them. Disengaged students will not work through the modules and then find the tasks themselves. For engaged students however, GCSEPod is fantastic as they appreciate exactly what the platform provides creating their own revision playlists. If the GCSE content could be assigned to flow like the KS3 content then I would award it 10 stars. I'd also like to add that the team at GCSEPod are phenomenal. They take on board suggestions and provide support immediately. They assist with setting bespoke competitions for our academies and the platform runs without any glitches or issues.
Deb, Lead Teacher for Science: Really easy to use, great package and has improved since I last used it over 6 years ago and it was not as good as this (although it was still fab then!)

A sound IT manager to white-list a few URLs in school and integrate GCSEPod with MIS. For teachers and students, using GCSEPod is very simple - like using Netflix or Spotify
