It is easy to reset if they accidently sign themselves out of the platform. This can be done by all staff who have access to the platform. They can access the platform anytime and anywhere – on a school computer, laptop or phone. It has adaptative A.I. that guides students to improve their score if they have not achieved 80%. It encourages students to get a higher score than their friends and climb the leader board as part of our schools house cup competition. There is also no way of checking answers that require independent learning and across all the schools I have worked in, the students will type anything. I would also want it to have voice enabled tasks, for special educational needs students.
HegartyMaths is mobile responsive so it will scale to work on any device with a good quality internet connection and relatively up to date web browser. This means that it is compatible with desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
For optimal performance, however, a tablet screen size or larger is preferable as often our questions involve detailed pictures which may be hard to see well on a phone screen size. We also recommend using Chrome as a web browser as this is generally most compatible with our platform.
We do not currently have an app version of HegartyMaths.
Launch and setup is supported by our technical team - we work with school Network Admin.
If your application is successful, we will be in contact to arrange an online training session.
The training session must be attended by the Head of Maths at the school but the rest of the Maths department are welcome to attend as well. It will take 1 hour for the demonstration of HegartyMaths and we will also share the steps to a successful implementation.
Your school's account will be created and your trial will begin (these are usually around 4 weeks, but we do make exceptions if trials fall over holiday periods). Subscription costs will be discussed during the call.
