It improves everything we need it for (e.g., planning, leader subject maps, modelling videos, subject knowledge). Not 10/10 because we usually have to take each slide and adapt it to our school which is also time consuming but not KAPOWs fault. Sometimes, flicking between interactive slides on KAPOW is a bit confusing.

CPD videos are excellent, lessons are clearly sequenced and build on knowledge. Kapow lessons also show some great ideas for learning that I wouldn't have necessarily have thought of myself. Lesson plans are clear, most subjects come with the 'three Is' intention statements which make it incredibly easy for subject leads to take hold of a subject that may be new to them and run with it!

Kapow is organised, has interesting topics, tells you exactly what the teacher needs to know with videos, links to the NC are spot on and the planning and activities are fantastic.

Some aspects could still be more user friendly like the presentations but overall it is a really useful scheme and makes teaching some subjects so much easier

It has a good mix of music theory with practical. Teachers can prepare for the lessons through the videos and it has certainly raised standards in teaching & learning in a short space of time.

I find the website very difficult to navigate, trying to click things that move. The planning has way too much to expect to be a lesson. Having 34 children makes most of the DT lessons impossible. They are very stressful and I dread the terms I teach DT.

- Slightly improves teaching efficiency“It is impossible to do all that is expected in a lesson with 34 children and no other adult support, when for example children are to prepare food - vegetable tarts for example. Also going to buy the ingredients, especially when a child has a severe dairy allergy, meant all children had to have dairy free, because of the risk of a child coming into contact with a dairy product made the teaching very inefficient. Also when sewing and 34 children are expected to complete a cushion in one lesson, makes for very inefficient teaching.”
- Slightly improves teacher knowledge“Not sure of the top of my head. Maybe countries different foods come from, although I can't find proof that strawberries originate from Japan, as Kapow states.”

It is an excellent resource which saves time and money with the CPD support that it provides. The cost compared to other DT resources is higher, but to me the instructional support outweighs this.
