What is Xello?
Xello is an engaging online careers education and future-readiness program that prepares students, from years 7 to 13, for future success by supporting them to build self-knowledge, personalised plans, and critical life skills.
Xello offers a truly student-centred experience. Integrated lessons are tailored to individual student's likes and interests. While immersive career, college, and university profiles with rich photography and real-world interviews provide an authentic glimpse into their future. Students can customise their profile avatars, upload files to create unique storyboards, and see how their assessment results affect their future goals. With Xello, you deliver a personalised and engaging careers education experience at scale.

Easy to use and student friendly

Its a great resource for children that can work independently, navigate it themselves and get totally immersed in it.

- Does not significantly reduce teacher workload“I still have to produce assignments to follow the prerequisite tasks, to which a lot of the time, a number of students would constantly ask for the meaning/definition of words/phrases etc. for e.g. 'what does enterprising mean?'; 'What does logical mean?' and with pupils working at different speeds I would need to give individual feedback as opposed to general feedback to an entire class had we been working at the same rate and on the same task.”

It's good, but the lesson bit of it needs more training/explaining for it to be used properly in our setting. Teachers prioritise their lessons and so don't have a lot of time to master new software.

This platform has allowed me to create a bespoke careers programme for all year groups in my school which can be delivered when the class is with me, or virtually. I can see what is being done and report on student progress. Overall, this is the platform I have been waiting for in Careers. However, I have an issue with single sign in for students using c2k wireless in my school. This is making it difficult to get students signed in first time.
