Review of Widgit

Widgit is an amazing resource that can be used to create so many resources for all students, not just SEN or EAL. The ability to create a bank of resources which are safely stored online and accessible from anywhere with an internet connection is really helpful in a busy school.

- Moderately reduces teacher workload“Resources can be created and saved. They can then be translated to various languages quickly and easily. Previously created resources can be quickly adjusted for different languages, or changes to key vocabulary for a specific subject.”

- Slightly improves teaching efficiency
- Moderately improves behaviour or wellbeing“We used Widgit symbols to create cards for a group of students to carry with them. Other students were able to communicate using the images and this meant that non-English speakers could let us know they were unwell, upset, angry etc which led to more positive outcomes for those children than if they had been unable to let us know how they felt.”
