Widgit is such a simple idea that has the most amazing impact on our young people. It can (and has been) truly life changing for so many.

Reducing the need to repeat instructions Offering ready made templates for activities Offering the opportunity for shared folders to reduce the need to 'reinvent the wheel' amongst staff team Providing a range of ready made resources for specific texts, topics and themes.
  • Significantly reduces attainment gap
    Easily allowing adaptations to lessons to ensure that all child are able to share their knowledge and skills in an appropriate way. Removing the barriers to learning!
  • Significantly improves teaching efficiency
    As above... It reduces workload Ensures that teachers can focus on the key objectives of the lesson Provides an opportunity to encourage and support relationships with parents by increasing accessibility to key information
  • Significantly improves behaviour or wellbeing
    Providing visual reinforcements for behaviour expectations Reducing anxiety around transitions, thus lowering the likelihood of challenging behaviour Giving young people a 'voice' to reduce frustration around communication Ensuring access to learning with visual support, thus reducing frustration and increasing self esteem Supporting young people with understanding and regulating their emotions.
  • Significantly improves attainment
    When barriers are removed, young people are able to actually access the learning and demonstrate knowledge and skills! Visual reinforcements can help to provide clear expectations for the skills needed to 'achieve' learning objectives Improved behaviour and wellbeing has a knock on effect for behaviours for learning.
