• Significantly reduces attainment gap“Children are able to read a piece of text when it is put into widgit, meaning the child can keep up with whole class reading then retrieve information from the text to answer questions. Before, the child couldn't read any of the text and certainly could not then retrieve information so did not answer any questions. Child able to work quicker.”

• Significantly improves behaviour or wellbeing“School rules and expectations of behaviour have been put onto widgit and displayed around school and in classes. Individual schedules available to support pupils to remain or get back on task. Individual widgit cards and lanyard widgits to support the behaviour expected. Our school emotional coaching system has been fully transformed using widgit ( following pupil feedback). This is used for pupils to check in, let staff know that something is wrong, to ask for help. As the schools Licensed Thrive Practitioner as well, I have used widgit to prepare resources for emotional support. All of this has impacted on a more robust emotional coaching system and making sure that behaviour expectations are accessible to all.”
