I use audiopi a lot with A level , the students love them and can access easily on the app to revise , listen to debate etc I wish they did more topics. I have limited access for GCSE history , but USA module very popular with students. Great revision aid.

Geraldine Rimmer found Audiopi:
  • Significantly improves attainment
At A level aids developing an argument / interpretation by modelling. Shows key events in a wider context and aids pupils understanding and skill for essay writing leading to higher grades
  • Significantly builds student knowledge
Develops understanding , makes links between topics , reinforces understanding and aids development of skills like significance
  • Significantly increases student collaboration
After listening to a podcast , discussion is developed. As the podcasts discusses different interpretations allows pupils to use own knowledge to debate , explain and analyse the topics. Really increases engagement in the learning process
  • Significantly reduces attainment gap
Pupils are able to listen to the podcasts repeatedly , so are able to use with their wider reading etc. Weaker pupils gain confidence in their understanding , making notes to supplement their learning and feel more confident in applying these skills etc to essay writing thus improving their attainment
  • Moderately reduces teacher workload
It’s another tool to engage and encourage debate / discussion. The podcasts are interesting and engaging , not like some very dull textbooks !!
