AV1 allows a child to feel safe and to continue to access the curriculum whilst they are managing significant needs which means they cannot attend school in person. AV1 is easy to use. The pupil can increase participation at their own pace. You can track pupil participation. The AV1 also allows the pupil to access enrichment activities but remotely, for example, choir club
Hayley found AV1:
- Slightly reduces attainment gap“It allowed the pupil to continue to access the curriculum remotely with input from the class teacher”
- Significantly increases student collaboration“The pupil is able to continue to work alongside and with their peers and be involved in group activities/learning”
- Significantly improves behaviour or wellbeing“The pupil was suffering with mental health but having AVI allowed them to keep school routines and still share experiences with peers”
