I visited in early 2022 after 10 years without seeing the school. It's no longer in special measures and has an interesting reward/punishment system with 'paychecks' being given out on Fridays, which are half-days. No literal money as far as I'm aware! Genuinely a good school with positive staff and sensible policies you can read on the website.

School was good until mr lever left and they started using unqualified people as teachers for top sets, the building is great and the teachers are rubbish apart from one or two

this school is somehow the worst ever, i am a year 8 student in this school and have been here since year 7 and when i say i’ve learnt nothing except other than maths that’s the truth. i’ve skipped three years of education or maybe two in turkey and i’ve regained all of that through my gaming life by randomly going onto youtube when bored and i managed to basically learn anything, this school teaches useless things to us “scholars” because most of this stuff such as drama or religious education and many more i somehow forgot barely teach you anything and if i’m going to be honest the only reason i like english is because it’s fun, not because i learn things from it because i literally don’t learn anything new at all. my favourite subjects by far are maths, design and technology and english only

i’ve had experiences in past schools such as SABIS, a school in iraq that teaches you using english and it was really helpful but unfortunately i was too stupid to realise how distracting and mean i was when i was only five or something. i’ve had better experience in turkish schools and no more on that, i feel like life after coming to the uk in 2019 has gone downhill and that i honestly can’t control any aspect of it as i’m only a minor.

this school is also very terrible because of its teachers: what is this a playground for them? all they do is just copy and paste things to students, give out detentions for the most irrational reasons, when you try explaining things in a kind manner rather than screaming at them they give you even more horrible treatment than if you scream??? and teachers are simply the only ones having fun and not committing to actually helping the scholars, it’s as if we’re nothing but numbers to them and i think many more people from this school can relate to me.
