I have already recommended them to anyone who would listen! They have influenced our computing and DT already - so much that we have invested in 2x 3D printers because of it, and rewritten our curriculum to ensure all children and teachers from EYFS to Year 6 can learn about 3D modelling and 3D printing. The loan of the printer is just the start - the follow up resources, and the clear and personal guidance, were incredible.

Reply from The CREATE Education Project:Hi Gareth, thank you so much for your review and for spreading the word about The CREATE Education Project! We hope we can support you for many years to come!
Gareth Dyer found The CREATE Education Project:
  • Significantly increases student collaboration
The children worked collaboratively to create products using 3D modelling, on lessons provided by CREATE education, which they then built with the 3D printer loaned to us by CREATE Education
  • Significantly improves teaching efficiency
Firstly, the lesson plans provided were detailed yet easy to follow, as were the resources. More than this, however, the guidance on how to set up the 3D printer, especially to a novice like myself, was invaluable and saved time.
  • Significantly improves teacher knowledge
The guidance provided on how to set up and run a 3D printer efficiently was absolutely invaluable, and the personal support that I received, either over the phone, or Whatsapp etc, was incredible. I went from having no idea about 3D printing to teaching 3D modelling with confidence.
  • Significantly improves attainment
Not only in computing, but also in DT, the CREATE Education materials helped us to reach curriculum objectives which previously have been hard to hit for a Primary School.
  • Significantly builds student knowledge
A student voice survey showed that 100% (over 120 pupils) that took part in learning through the CREATE Education materials learned a lot about 3D printing, and could specify areas of knowledge that had developed (modelling, understanding limitations of 3D printing etc).
