A way of recording assessment online that gives a RAG rating (below, expected, exceeding) for each topic to help show progress would be really helpful.

Victoria Braddock found Discovery Education Health and Relationships:
  • Significantly reduces teacher workload
Plans and resources are ready to print and lesson plans are easy to follow.
  • Significantly improves teaching efficiency
Planning can be given to support staff or supply cover easily, teachers can use their time to extend teaching rather than plan from scratch.
  • Moderately improves teacher knowledge
Reminders about key vocabulary and knowing how your teaching fits in with the bigger picture of whole school progression.
  • Moderately improves parent engagement
During home learning, resources could easily be used and teachers could adapt planning to be parent friendly. The leadership team have used the year group introduction slides to introduce parents to what their child will be learning each academic year and help parents support their child with their learning.
  • Significantly builds student knowledge
The progression grids for each topic clearly show how subject knowledge is built upon each year. As our school has only completed one academic year, that has been severely disrupted by lockdowns, I think this will be more apparent next year when topics are revisited.
