I like the idea behind the program and I have enjoyed implementing it. However, with limited storage, the time that it takes to inflate all of the balls before a unit beginning, and then deflating them and storing them away at the end is significant.

S. McCabe found DrumFIT Schools Program:
  • Slightly reduces teacher workload
Finding the "right" lesson in the video library takes time. Also, preparing the equipment is a HUGE time commitment. Connecting the bases and then inflating 30 balls with two pumps takes a 1-2 hours due to overheating of the pumps.
  • Significantly improves teaching efficiency
After taking the time to find the right lesson(s) for your students, the video does the teaching. As a teacher, you may float, encourage, and engage with your students.
  • Slightly improves behaviour or wellbeing
If students want to act out, they will act out, regardless. But some of the less "athletic" students really enjoy getting active in a different way.
  • Does not significantly build student knowledge
