The University of Sunderland chose to become involved with the globalbridge platform in October 2020 due to the breadth of schools who engaged with it. We were also impressed with the opportunities available to users to access information in a format which is right for them. We promote details of our schools outreach activities that are relevant to the users of the platform and information about specific support available to our students, to assist informed choices when making decisions about university study. The globalbridge platform gives the opportunity for educational professionals to be aware of our schools outreach activities, which are aligned to the Gatsby Benchmarks. We’ve had the opportunity to work with globalbridge via our pre-recorded schools outreach activities. This has enabled us to expand our reach, not only to new schools across the region, but also nationally. This was something we hadn’t initially anticipated, but this proved to be an additional benefit of using globalbridge.
