This program does not seem to translate well to American schools. The coding is so rigid that we couldn't even adjust dates/times to our format. The terminology and needs of our school is so different than what was available in this program. We would not have selected this if we, as a school, were given the option.

  • Improves parent engagement
    The only parent engagement would be the Parent Portal. We are primarily only using it for billing.
  • Improves school processes
    Any process we try to do through iSAMS takes so many steps, it often feels not worth it. As an administrator, I like it for storing and accessing our data, but it is not time-effective for teachers to use the iSAMS system at all.
  • Provides school data
    I am able to gather student info and produce reports. That's the extent of how we've used it so far.
  • Improves behaviour or wellbeing
    We are tracking injuries in Medical Center, but that's it. Even that is hard because notices are not sent home to parents immediately, but at some designated time at the end of the day.
  • Reduces teacher workload
    We are not having our teachers use it because it was clear that it would increase teacher workload and not meet our needs for grading/reporting.
