Newton College

Telling my experience as an ex high-school student graduated from Newton College, where I studied the international baccalaureate program. Education-wise the majority of teachers working at Newton College are truly passionate about their subjects and are professionals at teaching kids and teenagers. The teaching team is very professional, experienced, accessible and caring of students and their learning journey. In terms of the facilities, they are mostly in a good condition, although some buildings are quite old and some renovation would make the environment more welcoming. In terms of the IB program, although Newton College does indeed offer a wide range of subjects to students to choose from, still not all subjects are available, such as Computer Science, Russian Language nor Chinese Language. Overall, my experiencing studying in this school was great and very positive. I am very grateful for all the effort of the teaching and maintenance staff of Newton College and would recommend anyone willing to study at an international school with either the IB program or the Spanish Bachillerato.

The school is wonderful. We came from Ukraine when we were attacked by Russia. The situation was horrible morally. No strength and lots of tears. The child had never gone to school before, my daughter was 5 years old at the time, she had abandoned her whole family and home. We were very worried about how it would go. But at school we were surrounded by kindness, attention and care, professionalism, they were so important and valuable to us that there are no words to describe it.
So I and we are all incredibly grateful for everything. The teachers, Administration, and parents are bright, kind, professional people.
We highly and highly recommend it.

My four children had a Spanish education, so we wanted to bring their English levels up. After contacting a few English schools in Alicante, it was Laude Newton that caught our attention. Lucia in the admissions department was extremely responsive and invited us to view the school. We were also welcomed by other members of staff. The children were given a brief assessment, to which they were given a two day free trial to properly assess their English levels. Two of my children were put into the English immersion programme ran by Suzanne and I´m proud to say after two months they gained full marks in the Oxford English Cambridge exams. For the first year the youngest child was given extra help with a support teacher in her class.
My eldest daughter says that the teachers treat her as an individual person and not just another pupil. The teachers take a personal interest in the children´s lives, hobbies and interests.
All four of them love everything about this school, from the friendships with the students and staff, to the interesting topics, after school activities and even the school dinners!
If there is ever an issue, Francine turner (the head of primary) and Alan Taylor (the head master) has always opened a communication channel. As well as the children´s tutors.
Taking all of this into account and looking at the prices of other good schools, Laude Newton in my opinion is exceptional value for money.

Our kids have fun and learn a lot, but the school is very greedy and it's getting increasingly expensive every year, a lot of parents have taken to write their discontent with these reviews as the school ignores the PTA and all complaints. To counter this apparently the school has now gotten other companies to write fake five star reviews...

I have one son in Newton and a daughter in another school. My son's academic level, judgement and maturity has grown considerably. I'm thinking about changing my daughter to this school.
