when the children enjoy the system it works brilliantly to aid their learning. However many children become frustrated by having to 'repeat the same lesson' or if the program is asking them to work through something in a different way to how they do it. Overall it is good.
Romilly White found maths-whizz:
- Moderately builds student knowledge“focus topics set for children struggling to grasp a concept during lesson time.”
- Moderately improves attainment“When children use Whizz education consistently it is clear to see how they improve ”
- Does not significantly reduce attainment gap
- Does not significantly reduce teacher workload“we use Whizz as an extra to the teaching load - I do not rely on it as a sole lesson. The resources help to reduce time making flipcharts for lessons occassionally”
- Slightly provides school data
