Review of Reading Plus

It is very expensive and takes a lot of teacher effort to get pupils engaged. I think it is a good system and would be better if it was cheaper, had more links to the curriculum and was easier accessible to both teachers and pupils who want to access it like their peers but need much more support - possibly an option where the comprehension and questions were read to pupils - or at least some of it.

- Slightly reduces teacher workload“Those pupils who are able to access it independently mean it does reduce teacher workload. For those pupils who find it difficult to log in and need a lot of support to access it - it is much more difficult, particularly in Year 2/3 when it is first introduced. It isn't always easy to navigate for those teachers who do not use it often or are new to it so as the lead I am often trying to show/train others on how to use it.”

- Slightly provides school data“We can see how a pupil has advanced through RP however I would like to be able to see a reading age or a measurable target outside of RP.”
