This year it has taken a very long time to organise and prepare materials. We cannot afford as a school to buy ready made materials. It would be a lovely resource to supplement SALT materials; but we do not feel it can replace a SALT assessment which is what is happening in our authority. We do not feel we have the expertise to really assess children accurately. Some children who are very difficult to understand did not score that badly, which we sometimes feel is down to our ability to identify difficulties. e.g what is a 'slushy' s.
