it supports the curriculum, spelling ability through personalised pathway, systematic assessment, improves attainment and for me the translation option is very important; along with dyslexia friendly features definitely makes a big difference.

Emma Turton found Spellzone:
  • Builds student knowledge
Build awareness of curriculum based vocabulary and specialised subject lexis
  • Reduces teacher workload
Eases some planning towards phonic work and some grammar aspects; helps with translations since the language translation for me is very important; dyslexia friendly too adds to the impact as it helps with adaptations
  • Improves attainment
students enjoy a slow pace of work, added games to work skills helps towards enthusiasm and the systematic ability test helps towards evidence
  • Reduces attainment gap
it helps but it also depends on student's own ability, recall ability and processing ability
  • Provides school data
better scores on standardised spelling tests
