The Learning Village works best when using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge. It will work on other browsers too, but not optimally. The Learning Village learner experience is a webapp. That means that it is not available in the App Store, but the learner experience behaves like an app. The Learning Village Student Area is iPad-friendly. Please make sure you are running up-to-date software (iOS11 and above), as older versions do not support recording.
Setting up GCSEPod is straightforward. With just a few quick steps, such as whitelisting a handful of URLs and integrating with your
school’s MI, your school’s digital lead or systems coordinator can have the platform up and running in no time. To make things even easier, every school is assigned a dedicated customer support specialist who’ll guide you through setup and be on hand whenever you need.
Once set up, it’s as intuitive as using Netflix or Spotify. Teachers can assign content with ease, and students can dive straight into learning without any technical hurdles. Training for Learning Village Members
No matter which level of membership you choose, we include 2 hours for online training for 3-5 people - the first hour will get you set up and show you the basics, the second hour 8-10 weeks later, will be more in-depth and tailored to your specific needs.
We also have a comprehensive training and reference section on the teacher home page for members to use - this includes step-by-step guides, videos, model lessons and much more.
We offer free, online refresher training every year, or if your lead member of staff leaves, we will train their replacement if they are new to Learning Village.

EAL Framework Process
This provides a Lead in each school with training and resources (through the EAL Framework Portal) for developing whole-school provision for supporting EAL teaching and learning. It is designed to build expertise and to help EAL teachers take the lead in whole-school development.
We can support you with training as your school needs, from online presentations, webinars, training manuals, best practice sharing platform and idea generation with our GCSEPod champions through to self directred leanring via YouTube videos.

If you then decide to join as a member, you submit an order form, we issue an invoice, and your account access is extended for a year at the click of a button!
We can typically have your school fully up and running with GCSEPod within the week.
